How Call Tracking Works
How to enable Call Tracking
Step 1: Log in to web.callhippo.com
Step 2: Go to settings > Click add on option > Select Call Tracking add on
Call Tracking feature will be enabled.
Steps to enable integration with Call Tracking
Step 1: Once the Call tracking feature is enabled > Click on the Call Tracking button on the top of the dashboard.
Step 2: Click on Call tracking > Integration > Google Ads Integration.
Step 3: Once the integration is completed, You need to add a number on which you want to forward the calls.
Click on the ‘Numbers’ option on the left panel > Go to numbers setting
Click on Number settings > Call Tracking FTD > Add the respective number in the ‘Forward Your Calls to Your Number’ option
Step 4: Once the integration is completed > Please add the ‘Call Me’ script on your landing page.
[What is a landing page?
When a Google Ad is created and a visitor clicks on the Ads, It will be redirected to your landing page (where google is set), in this landing page’s HTML you need to add this javascript.
It will allow your visitor to submit a number and get a callback.]
Note: After the Call Me script is added, Whenever a visitor request a Call Back, You will receive calls on the same number that is added in the ‘Forward Your Calls to Your Number’ option
Add Tracking Template in Google Ads to track Keywords and Campaign details in CallHippo
CallHippo allows caller’s keyword data to display on call logs (activity feed).
For that, users will need to add a tracking template to google ads
How can users add a tracking template in google ads for a campaign?
Steps to add tracking template in the Google Ads campaign:
1. Log in to Google Ads account -> select All campaign
2. Click Settings on the left side of the page
3. Choose Campaign settings at the top of the page
4. Click the checkbox next to any campaign where you’d like to add your tracking template
5. Select the Edit drop-down, then click Change Tracking Templates.
6. Keep the first option selected to Set the tracking template. Then, type {lpurl} and add your tracking template. In this case {lpurl} represents your final URL, so you won't have to manually enter your ad URLs.
7. Copy and paste this code into your tracking template field.

8. Then click on Apply to create and save your tracking template.
Step 5: All the call activities will be displayed in the activity feed
Note:
All the calls that were generated through Google Ads will be marked as conversions in the Google Ads account.
Steps to follow to add conversion value for a call, which will be updated as a value in Google Ads conversion after 24 hours
Click on Activity Feed > Click on particular call details you want to add value > Go to Value option and add Value (For example - 100)
Reports and Charts on the dashboard
Click on Call Tracking > Dashboard
You can view Total Calls, First-Time Callers and Average Call Duration in the dashboard option
