What is Click to Call Extension?
CallHippo's Click-to-Call extension is a tool that allows users to make calls directly by simply clicking on a phone number. With this extension, you can integrate CallHippo’s functionality into your browser, enabling you to call customers instantly without needing to copy and paste numbers into the dialer. It streamlines the calling process, making it especially useful for sales, support teams, or anyone who frequently interacts with phone numbers online.
How to install it?
1. Log in to your CallHippo dashboard.
2. Click on the Integrations section.
3. Go to ‘Our Apps’ and then click on ‘Chrome Extension’.
4. On the Chrome Web Store page, click "Add to Chrome" to install the extension.
5. A pop-up window will appear, asking you to confirm adding the CallHippo extension. Click "Add Extension" to proceed.
6. Your click-to-call extension is now installed and the window will look like this.
7. Click on the Chrome Extensions icon.
8. Click on the ‘Pin’ icon to pin the CallHippo click-to-call extension in the Chrome browser.
9. Click on the CallHippo extension icon.
10. You get to select from two options:
Desktop app: Select this only if the CallHippo desktop application is installed on your computer and you want the calls to connect via the desktop application.
Extension: In all other cases, select extension.
11. Refresh the tab, or re-login to your CRM, and the click-to-call extension will now be visible against the contact numbers.
Important Note:
Make sure no other Chrome extensions are installed that use calling features, voice transmission, or access your microphone, as they may interfere with the CallHippo Chrome extension.
If such extensions are present, please deactivate or uninstall them. Then, reinstall the CallHippo Chrome extension and log in again for optimal performance.
12. Open any website or tool on which the Click to Call functionality will work. You can see that number with the CallHippo icon there.
13. Hover the cursor over the number, and it will check whether the number is valid or not.
14. Then click on that number, and the call will go through.
