If You are looking to integrate Slack with CallHippo then follow the below shown steps.


Notes

  • Who Can Integrate: Any CallHippo user with admin permissions.
  • Permissions/Rights Needed: Admin access on both CallHippo and Slack is required.
  • Time to Sync Data: The integration is instant, with real-time synchronization of data once set up.

Steps to follow


Step - 1: Log in to CallHippo: Access your CallHippo account.




Step - 2: Navigate to the left sidebar menu on your dashboard. Click on Integrations -> Popular.




Step - 3: Select Slack and click on the Connect button.



Step - 4: A pop-up will appear with an "Add to Slack" button. Click on it.




Step - 5: You will be redirected to the Slack login page (if not already logged in). Enter your workspace name and log in to your Slack account.



Step - 6: If you are already logged in to slack then you will be redirected to the permissions page in Slack. From the Top Right corner select the workspace (If you have logged in with multiple workspaces).



Step - 8: Select the Slack channel for integration and click on Allow.



Step - 9: Configure Integration Settings: After granting permission in Slack, you will be redirected back to CallHippo.




Hurray !! You have successfully integrated Slack with Callhippo.


Step - 10: A pop-up with Integration Settings will appear. Customize the Slack functionality as per your requirement. You can configure the integration to monitor activities such as Incoming, Outgoing Calls, and SMS.






Add Multiple Slack Channels (Optional)

Step - 1: You can integrate multiple Slack channels by clicking on Add Slack Channel in the settings.



Step - 2: You will be again redirected to the permissions page. From here you can add the other channels.



You have successfully added the second channel. The added channels can be seen under the integration settings tab.



The same steps will be repeated in order to add a new channels every time.


Connected Numbers

From Connected Numbers Tab you can allocate numbers for which you want the activity needs to be pushed into slack. (By default all the numbers will be selected). Also specific channel can be assigned to the particular number. The activity will be synced on the selected channel.


In the default channel dropdown first added slack channel will be auto selected. In the numbers by default the default selected channel will be allocated as shown above. All the added channels will be shown in the dropdown.



If you want to attach a different channel for a different numbers then you need to select it from the dropdown. Same channel can be selected for multiple numbers.


In case due to any technical issues the channel is not found for any particular number at that time activity will be synced to the default selected channel.


Activity Passed on Integration

All Call and SMS activities (both incoming and outgoing) performed through the CallHippo dialer will be automatically sent to the integrated Slack channels.

After Call Work activity is reflected in Slack


If you have a plan with CallHippo's Call tags and disposition service and the same has been enabled, than the activity being pushed in Slack contains the tags and disposition data being added after the Call in the ACW screen. 


Note: This sync only when the same has been performed on the After Call Work screen, In case if tags and disposition have been added later on using the Call logs or other feed than the same wont sync in the Slack.
