If you’ve created teams in CallHippo that are no longer needed, it’s a good idea to clean them up to keep your account organized and easy to manage. This article walks you through the simple steps to delete unwanted teams from your CallHippo account.

Steps to delete an already created team:

1. Log in to your CallHippo account.

2. Navigate to the ‘Users & Performance’ section and then click on the ‘Teams’ option.

3. Click on the “delete” button visible in red beside the team that you want to delete from the list of available teams in your account.

4. Click on ‘Yes’ to delete the team.

5. The Team is now deleted.

Note: A team cannot be deleted if it is currently assigned as an action in the IVR setup of any number. Please update the IVR settings before attempting to delete the team.

Frequently asked questions:

Q: The delete button is visible, but I get an error when I try to delete a team. What could be the issue?
A: If you're seeing an error when trying to delete a team, it’s likely because the team is currently assigned as an action in the IVR setup of a number. You’ll need to remove the team from the IVR settings before you can successfully delete it.

Q: What happens to the users in a team after I delete the team?
A: Deleting a team does not delete the users within it. The users will remain active in your CallHippo account and can be added to other teams or managed individually.

Q: I accidentally deleted the wrong team. Can I restore it?
A: Once a team is deleted, it cannot be restored through the dashboard. You will need to recreate the team manually.

Q: Will deleting a team affect my reports or call data?
A: Deleting a team won’t delete past call data or reports associated with it.

Q: I updated my IVR settings, but still can’t delete the team. What else can I check?
A: After updating your IVR settings, make sure the team is completely removed from all numbers and flows. Also, refresh your browser or log out and log back in to see the updated options. If the issue continues, reach out to support for assistance.
