If you've connected your CallHippo account with a CRM or any third-party tool for calling and SMS activities, you may want to manage which numbers are linked to that integration. This includes the ability to allocate or deallocate specific phone numbers from the integration.

Before managing number allocation, make sure your CallHippo account is already integrated with the CRM or tool in question.

Once integrated, you can view and modify which numbers are connected. You have two ways to access and update this setting—either through the Integrations section or directly through the Number Settings. In both cases, you'll be able to:

  • View the list of numbers currently allocated to the integration.

  • Choose which numbers should log calling and SMS activity through the CRM.

  • Deallocate a number if you no longer want it associated with the tool.

  • Allocate a number if it’s not currently linked, but the integration already exists.

There are 2 ways to do it:

  • From the Integration settings:

1. Log in to your CallHippo dashboard.

2. Click on the Integrations section.

3. Click on the settings icon of your active Integration.

4. Click on the ‘Connected Numbers’ section.

5. You can check and uncheck the numbers that you want to allocate or deallocate to the selected integrated CRM from which you want to log the Calls and SMS activity.

  • From Number Settings:

1. Log in to your CallHippo dashboard.

2. Navigate to the “Numbers and DID” section on the left side of the screen and then click on the Numbers.

3. Click on the settings icon of the number you want to allocate or deallocate from the integrated CRM.

4. On the left side of the dashboard, scroll down and then click on the ‘Integrated Tools’ option visible on the left of the dashboard.

5. You can click on the integrated CRM to allocate or deallocate it for the selected number, depending on whether you want to log call and SMS activity from that number.

6. Click on ‘Yes’ to finalize the changes.

Important Note:
If there is only one number currently allocated to an integration, it cannot be removed. CallHippo requires at least one number to remain linked to an active integration.

Frequently asked questions:

Q: How do I know if my CallHippo account is integrated with a CRM?
A: You can check the integration status by logging into your CallHippo dashboard and visiting the Integrations section. If an integration is active, it will be listed there with settings available to manage connected numbers.

Q: I want to remove a number from my CRM integration. What should I do first?
A: First, make sure your CallHippo account is already integrated with the CRM. Then, you can remove the number either through the Integration settings or via the Number settings section.

Q: Can I remove all numbers from an integration?
A: No, CallHippo requires at least one number to remain connected to an active integration. If only one number is allocated, you won’t be able to deallocate it.

Q: How can I double-check which numbers are currently linked to my CRM?
A: You can view this in either the Connected Numbers section under Integrations or by opening the settings of an individual number and checking the Integrated Tools section.

Q: Will deallocating a number remove past call logs from the CRM?
A: No, deallocating a number only stops future call and SMS logs from being sent to the CRM. Past logs already recorded will remain in the CRM.

Q: What’s the difference between updating integration settings from Integrations vs. Number Settings?
A: Both methods allow you to allocate or deallocate numbers, but the Integration settings show all connected numbers for a specific tool, while the Number Settings focus on managing integrations for one number at a time.

Q: I changed the number settings, but nothing updated in the CRM. What should I do?
A: Try logging out and back into your dashboard, double-check the integration status, and confirm the changes were saved. If the issue persists, reach out to CallHippo support.
