Activate Entra ID SSO (Formerly Azure AD) Integration with CallHippo:
1) Log in to your CallHippo account.
2) Navigate to the side menu and click on Integrations.
3) Search for Entra ID SSO and click on Connect.
4) A pop-up will appear as shown below click on the Connect Now button.
5) Once you click on the Connect Now button, your Entra ID SSO integration will be moved to In progress state.
6) Integration Settings pop up will appear as shown below
Fill in the required Information to Successfully configure the Entra ID SSO
Configure SSO with Microsoft Entra ID:
1) log in to the Entra ID portal with an administrator account -> Go to the Azure Active Directory -> Enterprise applications -> Click on New application.
2) It will open a list of existing applications; we are going to setup our new application, so click on the Create your own application button given at the top of the list.
3) It will open a popup on the right side of the screen where you need to Enter the name of the application and select the third radio button as given in the image below. And then click on the Create button. It will take a few seconds to create a new application. And redirect you to the app settings page.
4) On the application setting page click in Set up single sign on box.
5) On the next screen click on the SAML box.
6) The next screen will display the SAML configuration page where you need to set Entity ID and the ACS URL as shown in the Entra ID SSO Integration settings.
7) Once you add the credentials and save the setting it will Create X.509 certificate which you need to download.
8) Now open the certificate in your text editor and copy the certificate text. Then go to the Callhippo Entra ID SSO integration setting -> Configuration tab and just paste the certificate text in the appropriate field and save it. Once you enter the Certificate text, your Entra ID SSO Integration will be successful.
You can assign SSO application rights to CallHippo users in Entra ID and they will have access to SSO in their application list.
That’s all, your users can now log in to CallHippo Using Entra ID SSO. Once all configurations are completed and the required information is filled in the Entra ID SSO integration settings, it will be successfully integrated with CallHippo, and the integration status will show as 'Integrated'.
Notes:
Once the CallHippo <> Entra ID Integration has been performed successfully, no sub-users will be allowed to perform manual login. Sub-users are required to login using the SSO. These restrictions applies for Web application, desktop application as well as mobile applications. Only the Owner and Admins gains the rights to perform both the type of login that is manual as well with SSO.
If you want to sync users between Entra ID and CallHippo, the following settings are required.
1. Select your application from the application list.
2. Go to the Provisioning section.
3. Click on New Configuration.
4. Select the authentication method as "Bearer Authentication".
5. Copy the "Tenant URL" and "Secret Token" from the CallHippo configuration popup and paste them here.
6. Click on Test Connection.
7. Once you click on Test Connection, the Create button will be enabled. Click on Create.
8. Now click on Provisioning again and open the Mappings section.
9. Click on "Provision Microsoft Entra ID Groups". On the next screen, set "Enabled" to "No", click the Save button, and then click the "X" icon to return to the previous screen.
10. From the Mappings section, click on "Provision Microsoft Entra ID Users".
11. On the next screen, configure the settings as shown in the image below. After updating the settings, click the Save button, then click the "X" icon to return to the previous screen.
12. Open the Settings section and, from the Scope dropdown, select "Sync only assigned users and groups".
13. Set the Provisioning Status to "On".
14. Click on Save.
15. There is a toggle available in the integration popup. If you want newly added users in Microsoft Entra ID to be automatically created in CallHippo, you need to enable this toggle.
Only users who are added to Microsoft Entra ID after enabling this toggle will be automatically added to the CallHippo account.For additional users, standard CallHippo user charges will apply.
16. There is a toggle available in the integration popup. If you want users to be automatically removed from CallHippo when they are deactivated in Microsoft Entra ID, you need to enable this toggle.
Note: User synchronization from Microsoft Entra ID is subject to Entra ID's provisioning schedule. Changes such as user additions and updates may take up to 40 minutes to be reflected in CallHippo after they are made in Microsoft Entra ID.
