CallHippo gives you the flexibility to access your call reports in a way that suits your workflow. The “Download Reports in Email” toggle lets you choose how you want to receive your call logs—either by downloading them directly from the system or having them sent to your email inbox.
This feature is especially useful if you're managing reports on the go, working across teams, or simply want a backup in your email for easy access and sharing.
When should you use it?
Turn it ON if you'd like the report file delivered straight to your email inbox—ideal for reviewing logs later or sharing with team members.
Turn it OFF to download the report instantly from the platform—perfect when you need quick access or are already working in your dashboard.
Whether you're tracking performance, auditing calls, or maintaining records, this toggle ensures you can manage your reports your way—efficiently and conveniently.
Steps to enable or disable the feature:
1. Log in to your CallHippo dashboard.
2. Click on the "Settings" option at the top of the dashboard.
3. Click on the ‘Reports Download Rights’ button.
4. Click on the toggle to enable or disable the feature.
5. You will be able to see the confirmation of the changes in a message in green.
Once the toggle is enabled and you have filtered and downloaded a call log report, you can access the report from your email by clicking the 'Download Logs' button, as shown in the screenshot below.
Important Note:
Even when using this feature, you can only download call logs from the past 90 days directly to your system via the dashboard.
Call logs older than 90 days will be automatically sent to your registered CallHippo email address.
Frequently asked questions:
Q: I need the report immediately, but it's not downloading—what can I do?
A: Check if the “Download Reports in Email” toggle is turned OFF; only then can you download the report instantly from the platform. If it's ON, the report will be emailed instead, which may cause a delay.
Q: Why don’t I see the “Reports Download Rights” option in my settings?
A: This could mean your user role doesn’t have permission to access or modify report settings. You may need to contact your account admin or manager to enable the option for you.
Q: Why am I unable to download call logs to my system even after disabling the “Download Reports in Email” toggle?
A: If you're trying to download call logs older than 90 days, they won’t be available for direct download from the dashboard, even with the toggle disabled. CallHippo automatically sends older reports (beyond 90 days) to your registered email for security and performance reasons.
