If you are looking to activate your Salesforce integration with CallHippo, here are the steps you need to follow.
The customer should have one of the below edit subscriptions in order to integrate Salesforce with Callhippo:
Enterprise Edition
Unlimited Edition
Developer Edition
Performance Edition
Professional Edition (The API should be enabled. Salesforce do not provide it by default with this account type)
Steps to perform for CallHippo.com Integration:
Step 1: log in to your Salesforce account
Step 2: copy your salesforce domain from profile section: Click on profile icon on top-right of the screen it will open up a dropdown and copy your domain as highlighted in below image.
--> Now, we need to integrate salesforce from callhipppo. For that follow the below mentioned steps.
Step1. Log in CallHippo account
Step 2. Side menu > Integrations > Popular category > Salesforce.
Step 3. Click on the “Connect” button of the Salesforce card.
Step 4: A pop-up will be display where you need to provide the salesforce domain and click on the “Connect Now” button.
Step 5: If the salesforce account is not logged in the other tab then it will take you to login page of salesforce. (If salesforce is logged in anyother tab then it will directly take you to the step 6)
Step 6: After logging in it will ask for few access. Kindly allow it.
Step 7: Once the access is granted the page will be re-directed to CallHippo integrations page and shows the integration setup.
Step 8: Now Configure your salesforce integration as per your requirement.
Configuration tab functionalities,
1. Call Activities performed with a Salesforce Contact Reflected in your Salesforce Account.
If you have enabled this toggle, All the call activities that are performed on a Salesforce contact through CallHippo will reflect in Salesforce contact’s activity as below
If this toggle is disabled then no calling activity will sync in the salesforce.
It has 6 calling status check box options, based on which you need to check mark the status to sync them in salesforce.
Completed Calls: If this checkbox is uncheck You will not get activity in CRM for Completed Calls
No Answer Calls: If this checkbox is uncheck You will not get activity in CRM for No Answer Calls
Rejected Calls: If this checkbox is uncheck You will not get activity in CRM for Rejected Calls
Missed Calls: If this checkbox is uncheck You will not get activity in CRM for Missed Calls
Canceled Calls: If this checkbox is uncheck You will not get activity in CRM for Canceled Calls
Voicemail: If this checkbox is uncheck You will not get activity in CRM for Voicemail Calls
Note: Calls having other call status will also be pushed into salesforce its just that from these 6 call status we get the option to disable any of them.
[Note: It takes 30 sec to 1min to sync the call activity from callhippo to salesforce.]
Contacts > Click on contact > activity
2. Sms Activities performed with a Salesforce Contact reflected in your Salesforce Account
If you have enabled this toggle, All the SMS activity will log in to the Salesforce contact’s Activity section.
3. Contacts added and updated in CallHippo will reflect in Salesforce
If you have enabled this toggle, then all contacts added in CallHippo will reflect in Salesforce.
Note: The old contacts which are available in callhippo before integrating salesforce will not be reflected in salesforce. Only the newly created contacts will be reflected in the salesforce.
4. Contacts added and updated in Salesforce should reflect in CallHippo
If this toggle is enabled then all the contacts added in Salesforce would reflect in CallHippo.
- For newly added contacts or existing contacts updated in Salesforce CRM, will sync within CallHippo in 1 Hour.
5. Leads would be created in Salesforce on selected call type for an unsaved contact
From this dropdown we can set for which type of calls a lead should be created in salesforce.
6. When a call is not matched to a Salesforce User, assign it to
Customers can choose a default Salesforce user from the dropdown. This user will be assigned to call activity if the CallHippo user is not found in Salesforce.
- Dropdown will display all Salesforce sub-users, including their names and email IDs, fetched from the Salesforce side. By default the salesforce system administrator will be pre selected. As per the requirement we can select any of the salesforce sub user from the dropdown. Any update done to the subuser in salesforce will reflect in this dropdown.

Connected Numbers tab:
In this tab you can allocate the Numbers which need to be sync. in salesforce. If you unselect a number then the calling activity of that number will not be sync to salesforce. All the numbers which are present in the account will be shown here.
[Note: By default all numbers are selected]
After Call Work activity reflects in the Salesforce
If you have a plan with CallHippo's Call tags and disposition service and the same has been enabled, than the activity being pushed in salesforce contains the tags and disposition data being added after the Call in the ACW screen.
Note: This sync only when the same has been performed on the After Call Work screen, In case if tags and disposition have been added later on using the Call logs or other feed than the same wont sync in the salesforce.
- SMS Activities performed with a Salesforce Contact reflected in your Salesforce Account. If you have enabled this toggle, All the SMS activities that are performed on a Salesforce contact through CallHippo will reflect in Salesforce.
- Contacts added and updated in CallHippo will reflect in Salesforce. Contact you add/update in CallHippo will also add/update in Salesforce immediately if this toggle is enabled.
- Contacts added and updated in Salesforce should be reflected in CallHippo. Contact you add/update in Salesforce will also add/update in Callhippo within 1 hour if this toggle is enabled.
- Enable click to call
Install the CallHippo Click-to-Call Chrome extension from the below link:

Once the click to call extension is installed it will appear in front of all numbers and as soon you click on the icon the call will be made.
