What is Smart DID Routing?

Smart DID Routing is an intelligent call-routing feature designed to boost your outbound call pickup rates by automatically selecting the best-performing "From Number" based on real-time call completion data. When agents forget to manually switch to a local number before placing a call, it often leads to lower answer rates. Smart DID Routing eliminates this issue by analyzing your destination country and automatically choosing the number in your account with the highest connectivity for that region. This can increase your call pickup rates by up to 23%.

You can enable Smart DID Routing from the Settings module.

How to enable Smart DID Routing?

1. Log in to the CallHippo Dashboard and click on the ‘settings’ icon.


2. Click on the Smart DID routing option.



3. Click on the toggle option to enable/disable it.



How to check which calls were made by using the Smart DID Routing feature?


1. Log in to your CallHippo dashboard.

2. Click on the “Call Logs / Recordings” section visible on the left side of the dashboard.



3. You will be able to see the icon as visible in the screenshot in the call logs against each call that was made via Smart DID Routing.

You can hover over that icon, and the message “Smart DID Call” will be displayed.
