What is Voicemail Drop?

 
CallHippo's Voicemail Drop allows you to leave a pre-recorded voice message directly from the ongoing call screen.


How it works?


When any outgoing call has been placed, if the call goes to voicemail, agents can simply click the "voicemail drop" button from the dialer screen. This will immediately hang up the call for the Agent. The system will play the pre-recorded message to the receiver side in the background and disconnect the call. Agents can immediately start with another call while the voicemail is being played in the background for the previous call. The voicemail drop applies to the Outgoing calls only.


How to use the Voicemail Drop?


Step 1: Go to Users & Performance --> users --> Settings --> "Voicemail Drop". Enable the toggle.





Step 2: The Audio file (pre-recorded message) needs to be added here which you want to be played on the Voicemail drop action. The file uploaded must be in WAV or mp3 format and up to a size of 5 MB. 



 

Step 3: When an outgoing call has been placed, and you detect the voicemail playing on the receiver end, simply click the voicemail drop button. This will play the voicemail at the receiver end. You are now free to place another call. The pre-recorded message plays in the background until the message has been dropped. 




Step 4: The Voicemail dropped calls will have the status "Voicemail" along with the tooltip "Voicemail dropped."




What is Auto Voicemail Drop? 


CallHippo's Auto Voicemail Drop detects the machine automatically on the receiver end while making outgoing calls.


How it works?


When an answering machine has been detected on the receiver end, the call hangs up automatically for the agent with the message on the dialer: "Machine detected, Voicemail dropped successfully". At the same time, the system will drop a pre-recorded message to the receiver side.


How to use the Auto Voicemail Drop?


Step 1: Go to Users & Performance --> Users --> Settings --> "Voicemail Drop". Enable the Voicemail Drop toggle. Once the Voicemail Drop is enabled, you will be able to see the Auto Voicemail Drop toggle. You need to enable the toggle to use CallHippo's Auto Voicemail Drop.




Step 2: While making an outgoing call, when the system detects the answering machine on the receiver's end, the system automatically hangs up the call for the Agent and drops the pre-recorded message at the receiver's end. On the dialer, the Agent will see the message "Machine detected, Voicemail dropped successfully".


Step 3: The Voicemail dropped calls will have the status "Voicemail" along with the tooltip "Auto Voicemail dropped."


 


Note: Please make sure to upload the Audio file (pre-recorded message) while enabling Voicemail Drop/ Auto Voicemail Drop.
