What is Call Reminder?


Staying on top of follow-ups and scheduled calls is essential for productive and timely communication. CallHippo’s Call Reminder feature helps you do just that by allowing you to schedule alerts for calls, so you never miss an important conversation.


Whether you're planning a sales follow-up or a client check-in, Call Reminders keep your calling workflow organized.

Important Information About Call Reminders

  • The Call Reminder feature is available only in specific CallHippo plans. To check if it’s included in your plan, please visit our Pricing & Features page.

  • You can set a call reminder only from the CallHippo Dialer, available across all platforms (web, desktop, and mobile).

  • On the CallHippo mobile app (both Android and iOS), the feature is labeled as “Call Planner”—you’ll find it under this name in the app.

  • In the CallHippo dashboard, you’ll be able to view only scheduled and completed calls in the Call Reminder section.

  • Call reminder is a user-specific feature. Any user can enable and disable this feature for themselves.

  • Any user (including the owner) does not have any control over the call reminder feature for other users.


How to enable the Call Reminder feature?

1Log in to your CallHippo dialer.

2. Click on the Main Menu icon on the dialer.


3. Click on the settings option.


4. Click on the Call Reminder toggle to enable it.

The call reminder feature is now enabled.


How to set Call reminder for any call?

1. Log in to your CallHippo dialer.

2. Click on the Main Menu icon on the dialer.


3. Click on the “All calls / Inbox” option to open the call logs.


4. Click on the arrow icon of the call for which you want to set the call reminder.


5. Click on the reminder button.


6. Select the time after which you want the call reminder to be, from the dropdown list.


7. Select “custom” if you want to set a particular time and date for the call reminder.


8. Select the date and time you want the call reminder for, and then click on Save.


Important: A call reminder can also be set from the 'After Call Work' screen, if it is enabled for your account, by clicking on the “Schedule a Call” and following the same steps mentioned above.


The call reminder is now successfully set.


How to check the status of the calls for which the reminder was set? - CallHippo dashboard

1. Log in to your CallHippo dashboard.


2. Navigate to the “Users and Performance” section on the left side of the screen and then click on the Call Reminder.



The “Call Reminder” screen has 2 major tabs.

3. Scheduled Tab: Displays all upcoming or pending reminders.

  • Calls highlighted in red indicate that the scheduled reminder has passed and the call was not completed.



4. Completed Tab: Lists all calls that were successfully completed after a reminder was triggered.


Each entry provides detailed information such as:

  • User Name (who scheduled the call),

  • Contact Name & Number,

  • Scheduled Date & Time, and

  • Action Options to initiate a call or remove the reminder.

This section serves as a centralized view for managing your reminder-driven outreach, ensuring you never lose track of important engagements.


How to check the status of the calls for which the reminder was set? - CallHippo dialer

1. Log in to your CallHippo dialer.

2. Click on the Main Menu icon on the dialer.


3. Click on the Call Reminder option.


  • Now you’ll be able to see the Scheduled Calls and Completed Calls section.





  • The Scheduled Calls section shows the details of the upcoming scheduled calls. If a record is shown in red, it means that we have failed to make the call at the scheduled time. You also have the option to Call, Delete or Re-schedule the scheduled call.

  • The Completed Calls section shows the details of all the scheduled calls which were successfully made.



How does the Call Reminder feature provide a reminder?

  • If you are using a web dialer or a desktop application of the CallHippo dashboard, the user who set the reminder will receive a Chrome notification pop-up in the bottom right corner of the screen.

  • If you are using a mobile device (Android or iOS) for CallHippo dialer, you will receive a notification in the notification bar, along with the default notification sound set for your mobile device.

  • You can also choose to receive email notifications for your Call Reminders. When enabled, CallHippo will send a reminder email to your registered email address at the scheduled time, so you’re notified even if you’re away from the dialer.

  • Only email notifications for call reminders can be controlled by the owner/admin account.


How to enable/disable email notifications for Call Reminder?

1. Log in to your CallHippo dashboard.

2. Navigate to your profile icon visible on the top right corner of your screen, and then click on the “Profile” button



3. Click on the “Call Reminder” toggle to enable the email notifications.


4. Click on “Save” to finalize the changes.

You will now receive email notifications for the call reminders that you set.


What should I do if the Call Reminder feature is not functioning correctly?

  • Check for Updates: Ensure that your CallHippo application is updated to the latest version.

  • Review Settings: Verify that notifications are enabled and properly configured.
