How to Match Your Requirements with the Right CallHippo Plan

To choose the best CallHippo plan for your business, it’s important to assess a few key factors. Here’s how to break it down:

1. Team Size: Small or Large?

Start by identifying how many people will need access to the system. If you’re a small team or a startup, a basic or mid-tier plan may cover your essentials. Larger teams may benefit from advanced plans that support more users, detailed analytics, and integration options.



Additionally, make sure to select the correct billing period to check the accurate pricing.




2. Calling Destinations

Think about the countries you'll be calling most frequently. CallHippo offers free calling solutions for certain regions, which might be helpful to you.



In case you have no specific country that you are making calls to, or the country you will be making calls to is not available in the specific unlimited calling countries, please select the “Global” region and check the list of countries for which we provide free calling for Global plans.

Important information:

  • For the countries for which free calling benefits are not offered, you will need to purchase and add calling credits to your account separately, which will be deducted from your account as per the calling charges.

3. Must-Have Features

Do you need call recording, call queuing, analytics, etc.? Make a list of the features that are crucial for your workflow. Each CallHippo plan includes different feature sets, so matching these with your requirements ensures you only pay for what you need.

4. Number of Users

How many team members will need individual access? Each user requires a seat under your CallHippo account. Make sure the plan you choose allows you to add enough users and provides the management tools necessary for team collaboration.

Important: The charges visible on our pricing page for the plans are “per-user” charges. In case you are onboarding with multiple users, the total charges will be: Plan charge multiplied by the number of users you have in your account.



5. Phone Number Type & Country

Decide on the type of number you need—local, toll-free, or mobile—and the country it's based in. This depends on where your customers are and how you want to appear to them.



Important: 

  • The “1 Free Phone Number per User” benefit applies only to Standard numbers listed under the Standard category on our Global Number Charges page.

  • Toll-free and Premium numbers are not included in the free benefit and will incur additional charges, regardless of your plan.

  • If you’re using the Free Trial, please note that testing Premium numbers is not included. These numbers can only be accessed with a paid plan due to additional regulatory and cost factors.


6. Addons:

Add-ons are additional features that can be added to your CallHippo plan to enhance your account's capabilities. These features are available to all customers, regardless of the plan they’re on, and can be added at any time (except during the free trial period). Add-ons provide flexibility, allowing you to customize your account with the tools and resources you need. Simply choose the add-on features you require, and they will be seamlessly integrated into your plan.

Important:


1. Add-ons are not included in the Free Trial.
Add-ons must be purchased separately and cannot be tested during the trial period. Activation is only possible after completing the purchase.

2. Advanced features like Power Dialer and Parallel Dialer are excluded from the Free Trial.
These premium tools are available only on paid plans and are not accessible for trial testing.



Some basic queries related to plan selection:


Q: What if I move to the wrong paid plan? Will I be able to change the plan instantly?
A: If you move to the wrong paid plan within the same region, you can change it instantly from your dashboard, and the charges will be adjusted on a pro-rata basis. 
However, if you need to switch your plan across regions (e.g., from India to Global or vice versa), backend support is required, and the change may take approximately 24 to 48 business hours to process.

Q: Can I change my plan anytime in the middle of the billing cycle?
A: Yes, you can. The cost will be adjusted on a pro-rated basis based on the new plan you switch to.

Q: Is it possible to get a feature that is not in my plan as an add-on?
A: No, features that are part of a higher-tier plan cannot be purchased as separate add-ons. You will need to upgrade your plan to access them.

Q: If I upgrade mid billing cycle, will my previous plan benefits be added to the new plan?
A: No, once you upgrade, your previous plan’s benefits will no longer apply. Your account will only reflect the benefits of the new plan.

Q: Is it necessary to move to a paid plan after the free trial? Can I stay in a basic plan and just pay for numbers and calls?
A: No, it is mandatory to upgrade to a paid plan after the free trial. We do not offer a basic-only option where you can operate solely by paying for numbers and calls.

Q: Can I downgrade my CallHippo plan later if my team size reduces?
A: Yes, you can downgrade your plan, but the change will take effect at the end of the current billing cycle, not immediately.

Q: Are refunds offered if I cancel in the middle of my billing period?
A: No, CallHippo does not offer refunds for cancellations made mid-cycle. Your services will remain active until the end of the billing period.

Q: Do I need to pay for each user added to my account?
A: Yes, plan charges are calculated on a per-user basis. If you add more users, your billing will increase accordingly.

Q: Are local, mobile, and toll-free numbers priced the same?
A: No, pricing varies by type and country. Only one standard local number is free per user; mobile and toll-free numbers carry additional charges.

Q: Can I test all features during the free trial?
A: Yes, however, some advanced features like Power Dialer and Parallel Dialer are not available in the free trial and require a paid plan.

Q: What payment methods are supported for CallHippo subscriptions?
A: CallHippo supports major credit/debit cards, PayPal, and Bank Transfer. You can manage billing directly from your dashboard.

Q: How do I know which region or calling country to select?
A: Choose your region based on the country or countries where most of your calls will be made. This determines your eligibility for free calling benefits under specific plans. You can click on the black “i” icon next to the Global region option on the pricing page to view the list of countries included in the free calling benefit.

Q: Will I be notified before my free trial ends?
A: Yes, CallHippo sends reminder emails before your trial ends so you can choose and activate a paid plan in time.

Q: What happens if I do not move to any paid plan before the free trial ends?
A: Your account will be automatically cancelled, and any phone numbers associated with your account will be released.
