With CallHippo, accessing your call logs and checking call costs is simple and efficient. Whether you're managing a sales team, monitoring support performance, or optimizing your communication budget, understanding your call data is key.

In this guide, we'll walk you through the steps to download call logs and view detailed cost information so that you can stay in control of your business communications, anytime.


Check the steps and details below to download the call logs and check the call cost:


1. Log in to your CallHippo dashboard.


2. Click on the “Call Logs / Recordings” section visible on the left side of the dashboard.



3. Click on the green colored “Filter” icon so that we can select the date range and other requirements of the call logs that we need to download.


Note: By default, the date range for the call logs is set for a week (7 days).



4. Once you click on the filter option, you can choose to filter the call logs on multiple options, such as:


  • Select Callers: Choose specific users or teams who made or received the calls.

  • Select Country: Filter calls by the countries involved.

  • Call Status: Filter based on one or multiple call statuses (e.g., answered, missed, failed).

  • Tags: Use tags to filter calls if you're using the "After Call Work" feature.

  • Call Disposition: Filter based on call outcome (e.g., resolved, follow-up required), available under the "After Call Work" feature.

  • From Number / To Number: Narrow down by specific caller or receiver numbers.

  • Auto Dialer: View all logs or only those associated with the auto-dialer.

  • Call Type: Choose whether to view incoming, outgoing, or both types of calls.

  • Date Range: Specify a custom date and time range to view only calls within that period.


Important note: 

  • You can view call logs on the dashboard for a maximum date range of 90 days (3 months).

  • If you select a date range beyond 90 days, the call logs will be sent to your registered email address.



5. Once all the parameters are selected as per your requirement, click on “Apply”.



6. You can manually select the call for which you want the call logs by clicking on the checkbox against each call, or select the checkbox at the top to select all calls for the applied filter.



7. Once the calls are selected, click on blue colored “download” option.



8. Check and uncheck all the options that you want in the downloaded call logs as per the requirement.



9. If you want to check the call costs for the calls made, make to select the “call cost” option.



10. Select “Save Filter” if the same options will be useful for you in the future.

Then click on the “download now” button to download the call logs for the applied filter.



Your call logs have now been downloaded in an XLS file. 


11. To check the call costs, you can open the file and check the column named “Call Cost” and check its sum as visible in the screenshot below:



The “sum” provides us with the total calling credits used for all the calls in the downloaded call logs.

Q: What is the default date range for viewing call logs?
A: By default, CallHippo displays call logs for the past 7 days.

Q: How do I filter call logs by specific criteria?
A: Click on the green “Filter” icon and customize filters like date range, call status, country, users, call type, and more to refine the call logs.

Q: Can I filter call logs by a specific user or team?
A: Yes, you can filter call logs by selecting specific users or teams under the “Select Callers” option in the filter section.

Q: Is it possible to filter call logs by call outcome or disposition?
A: Yes, if you use the "After Call Work" feature, you can filter call logs by call disposition such as resolved or follow-up required.

Q: Can I view call logs for more than 90 days on the dashboard?
A: No, the dashboard only supports viewing call logs for up to 90 days. If the selected range exceeds 90 days, the logs will be emailed to your registered email address.

Q: How do I ensure call cost details are included in my download?
A: Make sure to check the “call cost” option before clicking on “download now” to include cost details in your XLS file.

Q: Where do I find the total cost of the calls?
A: Open the downloaded XLS file and look at the “Call Cost” column. The sum at the bottom shows the total calling credits used.

Q: How is the downloaded file formatted?

A: The call logs are downloaded as an XLS and CSV file containing all selected details, including call costs if selected.

Q: From where can I see the call history and credits used?
A: You can view your call history by navigating to the “Call Logs / Recordings” section on the CallHippo dashboard. To check credits used, download the call logs and ensure the “Call Cost” option is selected during export.

Q: How can I check the charges for each call?
A: Download the call logs after applying your desired filters and include the “Call Cost” option. The downloaded XLS file will display the cost associated with each call in the “Call Cost” column.

Q: I want to know the call cost for all the calls I made this month. Where do I download the call cost details?
A: Apply a filter for the current month in the “Call Logs / Recordings” section, select all relevant calls, and download the file with the “Call Cost” option enabled. The downloaded file will show the call cost details for each call made during the month.

Q: Can I confirm that any reports downloaded from the call log will not incur any extra charges?
A: No, downloading reports from the call logs does not incur any additional charges.
