What is User Status?
User Status indicates whether a user is available or unavailable on the dialer for any reason, such as "On Lunch," "In a Meeting," or "Out of Office." This feature enhances team communication by clearly displaying availability, leading to more efficient workflow management.

Where can the users check and change their status?

1. Login to your CallHippo dialer.

2. Hover over the ‘Available’ option visible at the top of the dialer.

3. You will be able to the list of available status options to choose from.

4. Click on any one of the statuses as per your preference. Your active status will be displayed at the top of the dialer.

Important Information:

  • Status is not visible during an ongoing call.

  • You can make and receive calls only when your status is set to "Available."

  • A new dialog box will appear where you can enter the status name (e.g., "On Vacation" or "Training").

  • Click "Save" to store the new status.

  • To delete a status, click the "Delete" button next to it.

A: No, only the user can change their own status. Owners, Admins, and Managers can view the status from the dashboard, but cannot update it on behalf of others.

Q: Do I need to manually change my status every time I go on a break?

A: Yes, users must manually update their own status. This helps reflect accurate availability in real time.


Q: I’m an admin—can I set or change the status for other users on my team?

A: No, only the users themselves can change their own statuses. Admins can view but not edit them.


Q: What happens if someone forgets to change their status?

A: The system will still reflect their last status, which may lead to misrouted calls or miscommunication. It’s best to remind users to update it regularly.


Q: Is there a way to track how long someone has been in a certain status?

A: Currently, CallHippo shows status visibility but does not track time duration for each status.
