The Disclaimer feature in CallHippo allows users to play a pre-recorded message during a live call. This message—also called a disclaimer—can include important information such as legal terms, call recording notices, or customer consent requests.
This feature is available in limited plans. To check if it’s included in your plan, please visit our pricing page.
How the Disclaimer Feature Works
If the Disclaimer feature is enabled for your account, users will see a “Disclaimer” option during an ongoing call in the CallHippo web dialer. From there, they can select a disclaimer from a list based on the available titles that were created earlier.
These disclaimers are set up in advance by the account Owner or Admin, who writes the message as text and chooses whether it should be read out loud in a male or female voice. During the call, the selected disclaimer plays as audio for both the agent and the customer to hear.
You can play the disclaimer at any time during an active call by selecting it from the available list.
While the disclaimer is playing, the two-way conversation is paused—the agent and the customer won’t hear each other.
This ensures the message plays clearly without interruptions.
After the disclaimer finishes, the call automatically resumes.
If call recording is enabled, the disclaimer will also be recorded as part of the conversation.
