Custom Integration lets you connect any CRM to CallHippo. You get a simple API link for your list. Your CRM can use this link to send new leads straight into CallHippo, so they are ready to be called.

Steps to set up Custom Integration:

1. Log in to the CallHippo Dashboard and go to Auto Dialer > Lists.

 

2. Click Upload List. A window opens with two options: Manually and Integration.

 

3. Select Integration. Choose the Custom Integration radio button. You will see the API link for your list, along with the fields the API accepts.

 

4. Once set up, your list shows up in the Lists table like any other list. The Source column shows “Custom Integration,” and the List ID column shows the list's ID.

 

The API accepts the following details for each lead:

  • • name: The lead's full name. Example: Dnaniel Klei
  • • phoneNumber: The number CallHippo will call. Example: 1234987656

Note: This is a starting list of fields. More fields, like email, may be added later.

How does a new lead get added to my list?

Your CRM sends the lead's details to the API link whenever it decides to, for example right after a new lead is created. CallHippo then adds that lead to your list automatically. You do not need to upload anything by hand.

How do I use this list to make calls?

Creating the list is the first part. The second part is to use the list for calling. You can do this in Speed To Dial. There are two ways to start.

Option 1: From the Lists page, click the “Use list with” action on your list, then choose Speed To Dial.

 

Option 2: From the left panel, open Speed To Dial, then click Add Campaigns.

 

On the Add Campaign screen:

1. Select the same list from the Select List dropdown.

2. Give a name to the campaign.

3. Set Allocation to AI Voice Agent.

4. Assign it to the AI agent.

5. Set the rest of the options as needed, then click Save.

 

Once saved, the campaign shows up in the Speed To Dial list. Turn on the Active/Inactive toggle to start the calling.

 

Important Information

  • • An API token is required to use this API, same as other CallHippo APIs.
  • • Send this token as apiToken in the header of the API request.
  • • The API link is unique to each list. Do not share it outside your organization.
  • • This list works the same way as any other list in Speed To Dial and Power Dialer. No extra setup is needed there.

Q: Do I need to use one of the supported CRMs to use this feature?

A: No. Custom Integration works with any CRM. It is meant for CRMs that are not in the Supported Integration list.

Q: Do I need an API key to use this?

A: Yes, an API token is required to authenticate, same as other CallHippo APIs. Send it as apiToken in the header of the request.

Q: Where can I find my API token?

Q: What details do I need to send in the API?

A: For now, just the lead's name and phone number. We may add more fields later.
